Magic

There are two types of magic in Final Fantasy: White Magic and Black Magic. White magic is used as a healing spell, such as Cure in Final Fantasy 7 or Haste, stuff like that, on the other hand, Black Magic is used for attacking such as Fire, Ice, ect.

White Magic

Level 1

CURE - This spell will restore 16 to 32 hit points to a single party member.
HARM - This spell inflicts 20-80 points of damages on all undead monsters facing the party.
FOG - This spell will increase the armor rating of one character by 8 points.
RUSE - This spell increases the caster's evade rate by 40%.

Level 2

LAMP - This spell negates DARK spells.
MUTE - This spells blocks magic users from using spells.
ALIT - This spell reduces lightning damage from 25 to 50%.
INVS - This spell makes a character invisible, increasing ability to avoid attack by 20%.

Level 3

CUR2 - This is a more powerful version of CURE that restores 32-64 hit points.
HRM2 - This is a more powerful version of HARM which inflicts 40 to 160 points of damage.
AFIR - This spell reduces fire damage from 25 to 50%.
HEAL - This spell restores 12-24 hit points to all characters.

Level 4

PURE - This spell removes poison
FEAR - This spell makes the enemies run away in terror
AICE - This spell reduces ice and cold damage from 25 to 50%.
AMUT - This spell removes the effects of a MUTE spell.

Level 5

CUR3 - This is a more powerful version of CURE which restores 64 to 128 points of damage.
LIFE - This spell brings a dead character back to life. The revived character will only have 1 hit point.
HRM3 - This is a more powerful version of HARM which causes 60 to 240 points of damage
HEL2 - This is a more powerful version of HEAL which will restore 24 to 48 points of damage.

Level 6

SOFT - This spell will restore a character who has been petrified.
EXIT - This spell allows the characters to warp out of a dungeon.
FOG2 - This is a more powerful version of FOG which increases the armor of all characters by 12 points.
INV2 - This is a more powerful version of INVS which increases the ability to avoid attack of all characters by 40%.

Level 7

CUR4 - This is the most powerful version of CURE which restores all of a character's hit points.
HRM4 - This is the most powerful version of HARM which inflicts 80 to 320 points of damage.
ARUB - This spell grants immunity to all RUB spells.
HEL3 - This is the most powerful version of HEAL which restores 48 to 96 hit points.

Level 8

LIF2 - This is a more powerful version of LIFE which restores all of a character's hit points.
FADE - This spell inflicts 80 to 320 points of damage on all enemies.
WALL - This spell reduces damage from lightning, fire and ice from 25 to 50%, and makes the character immune to all status effects.
XFER - This spell will strip enemies of their resistance to your magic.

Black Magic

Level 1

FIRE - This spell inflicts 10 to 40 points of fire damage on an enemy.
SLEP - This spell may make the enemies fall asleep.
LOCK - Increases chances of hitting monster by 10%.
LIT - Inflicts 10 to 40 points of lightning damage on an opponent.

Level 2

ICE - This spell inflicts 20 to 80 points of damage on a single opponent.
DARK - This spell blinds the enemy.
TMPR - Weapon strength is incresed by 14 points.
SLOW - This spell slows the enemies' actions, lowering hit rate by 50%

Level 3

FIR2 - Second fire spell, which inflicts 30 to 120 points of damage against all enemies.
HOLD - Paralyzes an enemy.
LIT2 - Second lightning spell which inflicts 30 to 120 points of damage against all enemies.
LOK2 - More powerful version of LOCK which effects all enemies.

Level 4

SLP2 - More powerful version of SLEP, but it only affects a single enemy.
FAST - This spell will raise an ally's agility, remove SLOW, and double number of hits.
CONF - This spell confuses the enemies, making them attack each other.
ICE2 - Second ice spell which inflicts 40 to 160 points of damage.

Level 5

FIR3 - Most powerful fire spell which inflicts 50 to 200 points of damage against all enemies.
BANE - Poison smoke may instantly kill the enemies.
WARP - This spell teleports you to the beginning of the previous dungeon level.
SLO2 - A more powerful version of SLOW whicch affexts all enemies.

Level 6

LIT3 - Most powerful lightning spell which inflicts 60 to 240 points of damage against all enemies.
RUB - Instanly kills an opponent, except undead.
QAKE - Creates an earthquake which can kill enemies.
STUN - Will paralyze any opponent with 300 hit points or less.

Level 7

ICE3 - Most powerful ice spell inflicts 70 to 280 points of damage against all enemies.
BRAK - Turns an enemy into stone.
SABR - Caster's hit rate increased by 40% and damage increased by 15%.
BLND - A more powerful version of DARK.

Level 8

NUKE - Intense heat causes 100 to 400 points of damage.
STOP - Stops time for all enemies, effectively paralyzing them.
ZAP! - Pushes enemies into 4th dimension, killing them. Does not work all the time.
XXXX - More powerful version of RUB.
